The CANADA List Badge Usage & Licensing Policy

At The CANADA List, we’re proud to recognize companies and products that meaningfully support the Canadian economy. When a company earns a high CANADA Score, we offer them the right to display an official CANADA List Badge. This badge is a mark of trust—but it must be used responsibly and transparently.

Who Can Use the Badge for Free

Companies or products that receive a CANADA score of 6 or higher are automatically eligible to:

No payment is required for this type of use.

Commercial Use Licensing (Paid)

If you wish to use the Canada List badge in any commercial, promotional, or paid advertising context, you must purchase a license.

Examples of licensed uses include:

Rules for Use

  1. No alterations.
    You may not change the badge design, color, size proportions, or wording.
  2. No implication of endorsement.
    Use of the badge does not imply The Canada List endorses your company—it means your product met our scoring standards.
  3. Link back to us.
    All digital badge uses must link back to theCanadaList.ca.
  4. Display your current CANADA Score.
    If your CANADA Score changes, we will deactivate your existing link, and send you a new link for an updated badge with your new CANADA Score. You are not obligated to continuing displaying the badge.

How to Get a License

Enforcement

Unauthorized or misleading badge use may result in public delisting or legal action. We take the credibility of The Canada List—and the trust of Canadian consumers—seriously.
